Looking good doesn't just happen...

Alex is a guy who won't roll out of bed and throw on just anything for the day. His clothes are carefully selected and suited for the day. Guys like this are great to work with, because they always have a great selection of clothes that we can pull things from to get the looks we are going for. One look Alex knew he wanted right off the bat: a suit. I've found that putting a guy in a suit for their senior portraits always gives them air of confidence and pride. A portrait in a suit never looks dated or tacky, and are always flattering and masculine, which is why suits are quickly becoming a must have item for my shoots with senior guys!

 In chatting with Alex about cross-country, he informed me there were a few really interesting places at the school were the team meets that we could use for portraits. I wanted the school emblem in background, but with Alex in the spotlight in front of it, so we set up a few lights to achieve the look! Can you believe it was still daylight when we shot this?! I love how we can create magic with lights and change the entire look of a location in a few moments! Some of these locations are tough to imagine making an amazing portrait, but the right lighting brings them to life!
